Emory Physical Therapy and Wellness offers advanced and specialized physical therapy services to the Emory community. This unique clinic was established in 2006 as part of The Emory Clinic by clinical faculty members in the Emory Doctor of Physical Therapy Program. The practice has grown to include eight faculty members who specialize in various areas of physical therapy practice.
Emory Physical Therapy and Wellness operates out of three locations: The Center for Rehabilitation Medicine, Wesley Woods, and Emory Hospital Clinic B. Faculty clinicians practice in areas of Vestibular Rehabilitation, Constraint Induced Movement Therapy, Movement and Balance Disorders and Musculoskeletal Dysfunction.
Zoher Kapasi, PT, PhD, MBA, an Associate Director and Associate Professor in the Division of Physical Therapy, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, is the Director of Emory Physical Therapy and Wellness. Faculty clinicians include:

Susan Herdman, PhD, Professor and Director of the Doctor of Physical Therapy Program, specializes in vestibular rehabilitation at the Emory Dizziness and Balance Center;
- Jeff Hoder, DPT, Assistant Professor and Neurology Clinical Specialist, treats clients with Movement Disorders at Wesley Woods, as well as those with balance and vestibular disorders deficits in the Dizziness and Balance Center;
- Sarah Blanton, DPT, Assistant Professor and Neurology Clinical Specialist, treats patients for Constraint Induced Movement Therapy post stroke at the Dizziness and Balance Center;
- Courtney Hall, PhD, PT, Assistant Professor, specializes in vestibular rehabilitation and treatment of balance problems, especially in the elderly person;
- Kathleen Geist, PT, Assistant Professor and Orthopedic Clinical Specialist, treats individuals with musculoskeletal dysfunction;
- Lisa Heusel-Gillig, DPT, treats individuals with vestibular, cerebellar and balance disorders through the Dizziness and Balance Center; and
- Megan Hasty, DPT, treats individuals with musculoskeletal dysfunction as well as those with balance disorders.
The Doctor of Physical Therapy Program is excited about providing a location for faculty to practice and students to train. Short-term goals for the practice include expanding to other locations and developing and establishing residency programs in Orthopedics and Neurology.
