Enhancing Respiratory Plasticity following Cervical Spinal Cord Injury
Michael A. Lane, PhD - Drexel University
With a primary focus on respiration, my research team is exploring the potential for phrenic motor and diaphragm function following cervical spinal cord injury. This seminar will review our understanding of the neuroplastic potential of respiratory pathways within the injured cervical spinal cord and how strategies for repair and rehabilitation can be used to amplify lasting functional plasticity and recovery.
