We take an interdisciplinary approach to understanding how we move.
Whether we are learning to move through sport, dance, or rehabilitation, our success depends on the complex and flexible interplay between the nervous system and the musculoskeletal system.
We use a broad range of techniques from neuroscience, biomechanics, rehabilitation, robotics, and physiology to discover exciting new principles of human movement.
Our basic science findings have facilitated advances in understanding movement disorders and in identifying mechanisms of rehabilitation.
